Design and manufacturing details
Manufacturing routes include Swiss-type turning, nitriding where applicable, precision cylindrical grinding and matched lapping. Multi-land sealing profiles and radial oil ports are produced to the specified geometry and fit. In VVT systems, the matched parts regulate oil direction and flow to the valve-timing actuator. In CDC suspension valves, they control throttle opening to vary damping. Machining focuses on the contact surfaces, sealing fit and wear-related material requirements. Material, heat treatment, geometry and inspection requirements are confirmed from the customer drawing.
